India bags six more gold medals in SAGIndia has increased their medal tally to 11 gold, one silver and five bronze medals as they have added six gold, one silver and four bronze medals on the fourth day of the 11th South Asian Games in Dhaka on Monday.

Judokas won three gold medals and one bronze medal, while shuttlers and cyclists added two and one more gold medals in the Indian medal tally respectively.

In cycling, Mahita Mohan won gold medal in the women’s 50km road race event while Rameshwari Devi won bronze medal for India in the same event. The Indian women’s trio of Trupti Murugunde, Sayali Gokhale and P. C. Thulasi won gold medal for India in badminton.

Chetan Anand, Guru Sai Dutt and Aditya Prakash together won second gold medal for India in the badminton. Akram Shah bagged gold medal in 60 kg category of judo after defeating Zafar Iqbal of Pakistan.

Ningthoujam Gomti Chanu went past Sri Lanka’s Chamila Dilhani Wijerathne to win gold medal in 52 kg category while Lourembam Brojeshori Devi won gold in 63 kg category after defeating Fouzia Mumtaz of Pakistan in the final.
