Though, Ford Figo may have faced delays in entering the hatchback segment in the Indian market, the automaker is now very serious about the success of its Indian subsidiary.

Alan Mulally recently said that the Indian plant of the company will be one of the major hubs as far as the global operations are concerned.

With the launch of the Figo, the company is trying to bank the desired high volumes from the Indian market.

Analysts believe that priced at Rs. 3.5 lakh, the car is undeniably aggressively priced and keeping in mind that the sentiment of the consumer is highly affected by the price, Figo is expected to be a blockbuster in the Indian market.

Under the 'One Ford' strategy, the company is expected to bring more such products into the Indian market going forward.

Moreover, with Ford becoming more serious about the Indian market, it is expected to ignite a price war among the players in the industry. While China remains the bigger market in the region, but the increasing importance of the Indian market has taken it to the global charts.
