Insia Dariwala is all set to make an indelible mark as a filmmaker. Although she has started with a five minute short film titled The Candy Man. However, she has plans to venture into feature films in near future as well. Nevertheless, she has already begun to write scripts. The Candy Man has already won Insia a best director award in Aarohi film festival.

As far as the story is concerned, Insia explains, “The film highlights the evil of child abuse keeping adults as a target audience.” She goes on to add, “The candy in the title has a deeper meaning attached to it as the candy has always been a negative factor for luring kids to get hold of them for evil acts.

” The Candy Man will soon be showcased in Osian’s film in Delhi and a couple of festivals in Mumbai. And also, has gone to Barcelona International film festival and NYU film festival.
