JE Creates Havoc in GayaIs your child suffering from headache, neck stiffness, or having inflammation of the brain or fever and sometimes nausea? If yes, then take him to doctor, he might have become prey to Japanese Encephalitis (JE).

Gaya has been majorly hit by this ghastly virus which has taken more than 56 children in his dark blanket and has claimed 16 children lives in last three weeks. The information was gathered from Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital (ANMMCH), Gaya. As doctor from the hospital, Dr. Sitaram Prasad said that till now, they have admitted 56 children and majority is of children who fall in 11 to 12 years age group.

Other places which have been hit hard by the deadly virus are Aurangabad and Chatra, in Jharkhand. Virus has increased to such an extent that, now two biggest hospitals of that place the ANMMCH as well as the Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) is running out of medical kits and they have asked the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune to deliver diagnostic kits as soon as possible.

In order to get timely aid, hospitals revealed that they have asked Health Ministry to supply those direct kits.
