Leading pharmaceutical firm Jubilant Organosys has declared its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11. The company has reported that there has been a huge decline in the net profit figure of the company in the quarter under review.

Jubilant Organosys has posted a net profit of Rs 62.73 crore in the June quarter of the current fiscal.

The net profit of the firm was reported to be Rs 125.82 crore for the similar quarter in the previous year.

Hence there has been a decline of 50.14% in the net profit figure this time against last year's record.

So far as the net sales of the firm are concerned, it has gone up to Rs 981.51 crore during the April-June period of fiscal year 2010 which were Rs 896.36 crore for the same quarter in the preceding year. There has been a 9.49% hike in the net sales of the company. This has been informed by the firm in its recent filing at the Bombay Stock Exchange.
