Washington, July 24 : ‘Sex and the City’ star Kim Cattrall was shocked to know that her grandfather was a bigamist.

Carttell was filming for British television show Who Do You Think You Are?, which follows a number of celebrities who trace back their family trees.

The 52-year-old star found more than she expected when she tried to understand what had happened to her grandfather after he mysteriously disappeared in 1939, reports Contactmusic.

Seventy years ago Cartell’s grandfather walked out on his wife, leaving her then-eight-year-old mother and her two other siblings to fend for themselves.

But she was left heartbroken when a newspaper cutting from the 1980s revealed that he was actually a bigamist - he married someone else while still married to her grandmother. (ANI)
