Advani meets RSS chief
New Delhi, June 20 - Senior BJP leader L. K. Advani met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat here Thursday, a day after their meeting was deferred when the BJP veteran conveyed that he was "unwell".
Sources said the meeting lasted nearly 45 minutes at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office here, to where Advani travelled to meet Bhagwat.
Bhagwat played a key role in resolving the crisis in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after Advani resigned from key party posts a day after Narendra Modi was elevated as BJP campaign committee chief for the 2014 polls.
The RSS is considered ideological parent of the BJP.
Advani resigned from his posts in the parliamentary board, election committee and national executive after Modi's elevation and relented only after Bhagwat advised him to withdraw his resignation.
BJP chief Rajnath Singh also assured Advani that his concerns about functioning of party will be addressed. (IANS)
