Hong Kong doctor arrested over photos of naked women patients
Hong Kong - A Hong Kong doctor has been arrested after pictures of semi-naked women taken during consultations at his clinic were found at his home, a news report said Friday.
The 29-year-old general practitioner was arrested after a woman patient complained she saw a digital camera trained on her during a consultation, the South China Morning Post reported.
Police raided the doctor's home in the city's Sha Tin district and found dozens of intimate photos of some 12 women patients, the South China Morning Post reported.
The pictures are believed to have been taken while women were partially naked for intimate examinations in the doctor's consulting room at the clinic.
The doctor, who is single, was arrested last Friday on suspicion of possessing obscene articles for the purpose of publication, the newspaper said. He has since been released on bail.
The clinic where the doctor has worked for more than two years is now boarded up with a notice advising parents that it is under renovation and to seek out alternative clinics for treatment.
The doctor's arrest comes less than a month after a Hong Kong primary school teacher was arrested for allegedly putting spy cameras in a room where young girls changed for dance lessons. (dpa)
