Clearwater, Florida: Linda Hogan, the wife of the WWE superstar Hulk Hogan has reportedly filed for divorce from her wrestler husband.

Legal documents have been submitted by Hulk Hogan’s wife, a.k.a Linda Bollea, in Florida's Pinellas County Court demanding a permanent separation from her husband, whose real name is Terry Bollea.

The papers don't state a reason for the divorce, say the local Fox News TV channel WTVT.

However, Hulk Hogan told the St. Petersburg Times that he had no idea she had filed for divorce. The star is reportedly "shocked" by his wife's decision to file for divorce.

When Hogan was informed by a reporter that the paperwork was submitted in court, He stated to the scribe, “I'm kind of shocked. You caught me off guard. My wife has been in California for about three weeks. ... Holy smokes! Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me. ... I just pulled over to the side of the road for five minutes to find out what was going on here."

Hogan told the reporter "Thank you for the great information," and hung up.

The couple starred with their two children in the VH1 reality television series "Hogan Knows Best." The recent episodes show the normally close couple attending marital counseling, but they eventually reconcile.

The family was also in the public eye recently after 17-year-old Nick Bollea was arrested Nov. 7 on reckless-driving charges following a car crash.

Adam Handelsman, the family spokesperson referred calls about the divorce matter to another spokesman, who did not immediately respond Friday night.
