Islamabad, Feb 12 - The prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) fell by about Rs. 3 to about Rs. 128 per kilogram in the country.
Chairman of All Pakistan LPG Distributors Association Abdul Hadi Khan said the marketing companies have slashed their profits to boost demand.
He said the price of a 11.8 kg cylinder decreased by about Rs. 30 to about Rs. 1,500, while the price of a 45.4 kg cylinder dropped by about Rs. 136 to about Rs. 5,800.
The move is expected to help boost sales which declined considerably due to high prices.
LPG prices can be brought to a reasonable level if local producers increase their daily production and do not link prices to Saudi Aramco Contract Price, The News Sunday quoted Hadi as saying. (IANS)
