Mayawati asks people to remove Congress, BJP from DelhiNew Delhi, Nov 30 : Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Saturday accused the Congress-led UPA Government of formulating wrong economic policies leading to inflation and other issues, and appealed to the people of Delhi not to get influenced by the tall claims made by big political parties.

He further said that people could get rid of all their problems if they brought BSP to power.

"Our party has ensured that all those who are contested elections here from our party have a clean record. You should give your vote to that party which fulfills all your promises. Do not get influenced by the tall claims made by other parties. If you want to get rid of all your problems here, then you have to remove the Congress, BJP and other parties, you should bring BSP to power," she said while addressing a rally here in the poll-bound state.

"Our party holds the opposition parties guilty for ill-governance because after independence, all these parties have been working at the behest of rich businessmen and they are responsible for bringing them to power,' she added.

She further claimed that the welfare schemes formulated by the Congress Party continued to remain ineffective.

"Since the time of Independence, there is inflation due to the wrong economic policies of the Central Government, which has affected the poor and middle class people. We have been demanding the Centre to adopt certain policies so that people prosper," she said.

"The schemes launched by the Central Government continue to remain ineffective, and it has failed to remove poverty or generate employment for the people,' she added.

Delhi, which is presently under Congress' rule, will vote on December 4, and the results will be announced on December 8. (ANI)
