Prince Harry says call for duty ''brings taste of blood in mouth''

Prince Harry says call for duty ''brings taste of blood in mouth''London, Jan 29 : Prince Harry has invited fresh criticism over his remarks about killing the Taliban after it emerged that he had described having "the taste of blood in mouth" whenever he got a call for action.

Harry, 28, said he spent his time in Afghanistan wishing for the phone to ring so he could be "in amongst it", reports The Telegraph.

Last week Harry was accused of handing a propaganda coup to the Taliban after he talked candidly about killing insurgents and taking them "out of the game".

Harry reportedly said that as soon as they got a shout, they would run to the aircraft, and at that point they would have the taste of blood in their mouths.

A spokesman for the Prince said he was describing how he copes with the adrenalin of a call-out, adding that it is important to understand the context in which he was speaking.

Harry, a co-pilot gunner in a two-man Apache attack helicopter, while describing his life at Camp Bastion, said that he and his crew members played video games to decide who would have to make the tea all day.

He also went into great detail about how he had struggled to master the art of using special absorbent bags, called "Travel Johns", for lavatory breaks whilst in the air. (ANI)
