Thane, Feb 11 - Ahead of the Maharashtra civic polls Feb 16, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray Saturday said that the Shiv Sena, the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) did not deserve to be elected.
Addressing a rally at Mumbai's adjoining Thane city, Thackeray said his party would do better things for the city.
He urged the voters to bring his party to power in the civic elections and promised to bring about the required change.
"You have had enough of rule by the (Shiv) Sena and the time has now come to opt for a change. Hence, you decide between the two. Either you continue with this rot for the next five years or change for better," he said.
Thackeray said that the Congress and the NCP blamed the Shiv Sena for all the misdeeds. But when the Congress and the NCP were in power, they did not do anything to improve the city, he said.
He also criticised the Shiv Sena for illegally putting up hoardings across the city.(IANS)
