Seoul : North Korea ramped up threatening language against the United States on Friday, days before the start of annual joint U. S.-South Korean military exercises, while a bill to stiffen sanctions against Pyongyang advanced in the U. S. Congress.

North Korea fires two suspected short-range missiles


Seoul (South Korea), July 9 - South Korean news agency Yonhap has quoted a spokesman of the country's government, as saying that North Korea has fired two suspected short-range missiles into the sea.

Picking up on the report, the BBC quoted Um Hyo-sik, as saying that the missiles were fired into the sea from a site in North Korea's Hwanghae Province.

Seoul - North Korea has doubled the number of its elite cyber warriors over the past two years and established overseas bases for hacking attacks, a report said on Sunday.

The North's cyber war unit now has 5,900 personnel, compared with 3,000 two years ago, the South's Yonhap news agency said.
