Chennai, Jan 26 - Tamil Nadu celebrated Republic Day with the usual patriotic fervour Saturday, with Governor K. Rosaiah unfurling the national flag at the Marina beach here.

Rosaiah also took the salute from the three wings of the armed forces and other security forces.

The governor, Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, her ministers and a large number of people assembled at the beach enjoyed the floats and dances by school students.

District collectors across the state unfurled the national flag and took salute from police contingents. (IANS)
