London, Jan 28 : Man credited with inventing the world wide web Sir Tim Berners-Lee, has called for schoolchildren to be exposed to coding in a bid to encourage them to ‘join a group of people who can do incredible things’.
Berners-Lee spoke of how Aaron Swartz, a co-founder of Reddit who committed suicide aged 26 earlier this month, had used his programming skills to change the world.
According to the Telegraph, his remarks came during an interview at the World Economic Forum.
Berners-Lee went on to call better computer education in school to encourage children to develop programming skils, the paper said.
He pointed out that when ‘people are told how to programme a computer, they taking a leap into an area, joining a group of people who do incredible things’. (ANI
