'Atonement' bags Best Film Award at Golden GlobesWashington, Jan 14: 'Atonement' has bagged the Best Film honour at this year's Golden Globe Awards.

The film, starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy, took the award at a press conference in Los Angeles, reports Variety.

‘Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’ took the Best Film gong in comedy or musical category.

Daniel Day-Lewis took the Best Actor award for his role in ‘There Will Be Blood,’ while Julie Christie bagged the Best Actress gong for ‘Away From Her.’

Cate Blanchett has been awarded Best Supporting Actress for ‘I’m Not There,’ while Johnny Depp won a Golden Globe for his role in ‘Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.’

The Golden Globe Awards, which takes place annually, was cancelled this year following the current writers' strike.
