‘The Elvis Presley Is Alive’ museum goes under the hammer on eBay

Elvis PresleyLondon, November 3 : An octogenarian fan of Elvis Presley is selling his entire collection of Elvis memorabilia on eBay.

Eighty-one-year-old Bill Beeny from the US state of Missouri kept the King’s memory alive for 17 years as part of The Elvis Is Alive Museum he owns.

He is now selling the museum, and hopes that someone else will take the responsibility of keeping Elvis's legacy alive.

The collection includes photographs, books, FBI files, replicas of the Cadillac the singer drove and of the coffin, and gravestone from the King’s 1977 funeral.

Beeny, a self-described "western Kentucky hillbilly" Baptist minister who ended up in Missouri 50 years ago, says that he is selling the content because he now wants to serve the needy in the area by providing childcare, OAP services, a food pantry, and counselling for the addicted.

"I have a burden to help people," Daily Snack quoted him as saying.

Beeney said that he would miss Elvis, "but life has its changes. You have to let go".

While Beeney wants that someone should purchase his collection and open a new museum dedicated to Elvis, he strongly believes that his museum is hard to duplicate. (ANI)
