London, Nov 6 : Actor Hugh Grant is auctioning an Andy Warhol painting of Elizabeth Taylor that has been in his possession for 6 years, and it’s expected to fetch him a whopping 15 million pounds.

The 1960s portrait called ‘simply Liz’ was bought by the ‘Notting Hill’ actor at a Sotheby's auction in New York in 2001 for 2 million pounds.

Sources have said that Grant has struck a deal with Christie's by wringing a 10million pounds guarantee from them should the bidding be less fiercely contested than expected, reports the Daily Mail.

The Warhol painting has also been put on the cover of Christie's November catalogue.

Grant's reps have failed to comment the reason behind actor’s move for selling the portrait. (ANI)
