‘Present day critics are more scathing’, says the Pretty Woman

Julia RobertsWashington, Nov 1 : Hollywood actress Julia Roberts believes that she would never have succeeded in Hollywood today, for present day critics are more scathing than when she started her career.

The Oscar winner finds the modern films industry to be much more cut throat.

The 40-year-old considers life to be more tedious for younger actresses like Lindsay Lohan and Keira Knightley as she finds today’s movie industry packed with aggression and competition.

"I think I came along at a kinder time in the business. It wasn't about fashion and there weren't so many media outlets,” Contactmusic quoted Roberts, as saying.

"You could really cultivate your work a little more gently." She added. (ANI)
