Andy Warhol ''s Dame Elizabeth Taylor portrait sold for £6.7m

London, July 2 : An exclusive portrait of screen icon Dame Elizabeth Taylor painted by Andy Warhol has been sold for a massive 6.7 million pounds at an auction.
The artwork, titled ''Silver Liz,'' was painted in 1963 and has been kept secretly in a private collection for the last two decades, reports the Daily Express.
Warhol''s masterpiece went under the hammer at Christie''s auction house in London as part of the Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction.
An anonymous bidder bought the rare piece for 6,761,250 pounds. (ANI)
