Washington, Jan 14: Amy Winehouse’s plans to buy a London apartment fell apart after the building’s residents committee vetoed the singer.

The ‘Back To Black’ hitmaker wanted to purchase a warehouse-style home in the trendy east London complex.

However, she was turned down because the committee thought that the media attention she gets would disturb neighbours.

“Her application was refused. The feeling was that neighbours would be uncomfortable with the attention she gets,” Contactmusic quoted a source, as telling the Sunday Mirror.

The 24-singer is already renting a home in the same development, which she shares with her hairdresser pal Alex Foden. (ANI)
