New York, Sept 26 : Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly commissioned at least three larger-than-life `heroic' scale bronze statues of himself that will depict him in his body-building prime.
Tim Parks, the owner of Oregon-based TW Bronze, which was hired to pour the metal for the statues, revealed that as many as seven of the 8-foot, 580-pound statues may be created, and that the `Terminator' star definitely wants `one for himself'.
The statues will reportedly be based on a 22-inch sculpture that Idaho artist Ralph Crawford created in 1980, reports the New York Daily News.
The artwork will immortalize the scandal-plagued actor and former governor of California during his glorious days when he won six straight Mr. Olympia titles from 1970-75 and added a seventh in 1980.
According to reports, the new castings are roughly one-and-a-quarter times life size.
Parks says the first of the statues was shipped earlier this month to Thal, Austria, and the second, which the firm is still finishing, could be headed to Columbus, Ohio.
Parks says two more of the sculptures are scheduled completion, one of which would be Schwarzenegger''s own and the other Crawford has planned to buy. (ANI)
