London, Jan 14 : Beyonce and her rapper husband Jay-Z donated more than 100,000 dollars to the hospital where their daughter was delivered before she was born, according to reports.
The power couple of R’n’B and Hip Hop music have reportedly given the money to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York last year, and quite some time before the singer gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter this month.
“Jay Z and Beyonce made a very large donation to Lenox Hill Hospital several months ago - the donation was at least 100,000 dollars,” the Daily Mail quoted a source as telling RadarOnline. com.
It’s no surprise Knowles, 30, and the rapstar, whose real name is Shawn Carter came up with the huge handout.
The pair received the real royal treatment in the lead up and aftercare of the birth.
The executive suite, which the hospital has denied they built in preparation for the arrival of the musical duo’s first child, costs 800 dollars per night and boasts numerous extravagant features.
They just happened to be the first to use the space, which could easily be mistaken for the penthouse in a five-star hotel.
“The stars really did align for them,” Lenox Hill Executive Director Frank Danza said.
The posh interior includes a living room area complete with a plush cream, three-piece suite, a coffee table and matching lamp.
It also features a kitchenette with a sink, a microwave and a shelf-full of coffee cups, meaning that the singer and her family could make themselves quick hot snacks.
There is also a single bed especially for the father-to-be or another family member to rest while waiting for the baby to arrive.
Like everything else connected with the birth of the hip-hop princess, this is yet more proof that the birth of Blue was a lavish affair. (ANI)
