Washington, Jan 10 : Beyonce and Jay-Z, who are basking in the joys of parenthood, have described their feelings on the birth of their daughter as being ‘in heaven’.

The couple gave a joint statement confirming the news of their daughter’s birth.

“We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012,” People. com quoted them as saying in the statement.

“Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful - we are in heaven,” they said.

Their statement also dispelled rumours that Beyonce had undergone a scheduled caesarean operation.

“She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs,” they said.

“It was the best experience of both of our lives… We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support,” they added. (ANI)
