London, July 30 : The father of Amy Winehouse's former husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, has claimed that the singer might still be alive had she not met his son.

Larry Fielder believes `Back To Black' singer's romance with his son could have led to the singer's death.

"Do I regret him ever meeting her? If it would have saved her life, yes I do," the Daily Star quoted Larry as saying.

But he says jailbird Blake, 32, who is blamed by many for getting Winehouse hooked on hard drugs, could not keep away from her because they shared a special bond.

And he reckons the singer might still have become a drug addict because of the pals she had in trendy Camden, north London.

"Living in Camden, who's to say she wouldn't have gone down that rocky road herself," said Larry. (ANI)
