Washington, Nov 21: Actress Cate Blanchett has credited her reluctance to be a sex symbol for her successful film career.
The ‘Elizabeth’ star has revealed that she has always concentrated on her work rather than her looks.
"I've never felt I could play up to the myth of the sex siren. But maybe that's been a good thing - because I just worry about my work and don't have to bother about always trying to look like the hottest thing on the red carpet, Contactmusic quoted Blanchett, as saying.
However, the Oscar-winning actress has confessed that she had a desire to enhance her sex appeal.
"Sometimes I wish I could be sexier, but I haven't done badly for myself with what I've got," she added. (ANI)
