Paris, Apr 23 : A Bollywood feature film showcasing India's unique film culture will be screened at the 64th Cannes Film Festival, its organizers have said.
Bollywood is set to share the spotlight at the film festival as a feature film named "Bollywood - The Greatest Love Story Ever Told", produced by 2010 Cannes Jury member Shekhar Kapoor, will be screened out of competition.
"It is a swirling and poignant montage that pays tribute to this cinema genre that has contributed to establishing India''s identity in the eyes of the world and to making Mumbai one of the world capitals of film history," the Xinhua quoted organizers, as saying.
The organizers said in a statement that the film, which combined "the most beautiful moments in the history of Indian musical films", came from a conversation with Shekhar Kapoor in 2010.
Indian filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and American documentary maker Jeff Zimbalist joined the direction of the 81-minute-long feature.
The 64th Cannes film festival will be held from May 11 to 22. (ANI)
