Bombay HC orders film director Ghai to return land

Mumbai, Feb. 9 : The Bombay High Court on Thursday ordered that land given to film director Subhash Ghai''s Mukta Arts in 2006 be taken back.
The court also asked Ghai to pay Rs 5.3 crore annually from 2000, from the time Mukta Arts entered into a joint venture with the Maharashtra Government headed by then chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.
The court order comes in response to a case filed by farmers in Latur who allege that Deshmukh breached rules to allot the land to Mukta Arts. (ANI)
