Coldplay to get £1.2million for Japan gigs?

Coldplay Rock BandLondon, Mar 16: If reports are to be believed, rock band Coldplay would be raking in 8,000 pounds a minute for their gigs in Japan later this year.

The band would be paid a whopping 1.2million pounds to play in a Japanese festival.

According to sources, if the band performs for 75 minutes on both nights, they would be paid 8,000 pounds a minute.

“They say there is no money left in the industry but this shows the cash is still there for the top acts,” The Sun quoted an insider as saying.

“It’s like football or any big business. The little people feel the pinch but the big boys get richer,” the insider added.

The festival titled ‘Summer Sonic’ is set to begin on August 9 in Tokyo and will move on to Osaka a day later. (ANI)
