London, Dec 27: Coldplay is set to rake in big money with their New Year's Eve gig.

The band will earn 650,000 pounds for their performance at the opening bash of a ritzy US hotel, reports the Sun.

Singer Chris Martin and his band members are top of the bill with rapper JAY-Z at the Cosmopolitan in New York City and Jay-Z's wife Beyonce is also expected to be there.

Other stars set for a big money start to 2011 include Rihanna, who will get 160,000 pounds to host a gathering at a Las Vegas hotel. (ANI)
