London, December 07 : Coldplay are recording their new album in a north London church.
The move to change base from their old HQ, The Bakery in London''s Primrose Hill, has been taken in a bid to remain close to their fans.
They intend to first record "as live" in the church, and then plan to do a tour of smaller venues for fans to hear the new tracks.
“The band are keen to make hay while the sun shines. They have hit a rich vein with their songwriting and feel more creative than ever,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.
Moreover, frontman Chris Martin wanted to record even while they were touring.
The insider added: “Chris had wanted to record a new album while they were on the road but it was just too much.
"They have this work ethic while the going is good to just keep working as hard as possible."
"Chris is determined not to be seen as a huge commercial rock juggernaut, filling stadiums and cashing in.
"This is the plan to keep them as close to their fans as possible."
Seemingly, the album will release next year, much earlier than anticipated.
The band had recently finished their world tour. (ANI)
