Deepika Padukone beats Katrina Kaif to be Rajnikanth’s new heroine

New Delhi, Feb 9 : Deepika Padukone has reportedly been signed as Rajnikanth's new heroine in his daughter's upcoming Tamil movie `Kochadaiyaan'.
The buzz recently doing the rounds was that Katrina Kaif, who was also keen on doing Soundarya's film, was offered Rs. 5 crore for the role.
However, the 26-year-old actress has confirmed her alliance with the new venture.
"I am eagerly looking forward to work with Rajni sir. It's exciting news," she said.(ANI)
