George Andrew Romero (born February 4, 1940) is an American director, writer, editor and actor. He is best known for his Dead Series of four horror movies (with a fifth installment premiering at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival) featuring a zombie apocalypse theme and a commentary on modern society.
