Gwyneth Paltrow to make TV series on the food and culture of Spain

Gwyneth PaltrowLondon, Oct 5 : Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has begun shooting for a US television series entitled ‘Spain... On The Road Again’, which will showcase the food and culture of the European country.

Paltrow will travel across the country with three companions, New York Times food critic Marc Bittman, chef Mario Batali and Spanish actress Claudia Bassols, in a fleet of cars to film the television series.

However, the Oscar-winning actress revealed at a press launch in Madrid that she and the other participants are unaware of the itinerary planned by producer Charles Pinsky.

"I don't know what we are going to do, but it is going to be fun," the BBC quoted Paltrow, as saying.

Reactions of all four travellers will be captured by a series of miniature car-mounted cameras while they visit restaurants, museums and other Spanish attractions during the 13-part series.

The 35-year-old actress, who is a vegetarian, has added that she would tuck into Spain's rice and fish dishes during the four-month tour.

The programme is scheduled to air next autumn on the PBS network in the US in both English and Spanish, while deals to show the serial in Spain and Latin America are being negotiated. (With inputs from ANI)
