Washington, July 13 : Actress Halle Berry has won a temporary restraining order against an intruder who had terrorized her and her family at her Los Angeles home.
According to TMZ. com, in the documents submitted to Los Angeles County Superior Court Berry described how she feared for her life after she found Richard Franco lurking just inches away from her.
Franco has been told to stay away from the former Bond girl after he showed up at her Hollywood Hills estate three times in as many days.
"All of a sudden I sensed someone behind me and turned to see the intruder standing less than a foot behind me, staring through my glass kitchen door," Contactmusic quoted her as saying in the declaration.
"Panicking and in fear of my life, I turned my body and quickly hit the deadbolt lock on the glass door. I grabbed my phone and ran as fast as I could upstairs, slamming each door behind me as I ran.
"He has terrorized me and my family in three consecutive incidents over the last three days.
"This person has invaded and trampled upon the most fundamental sense of security I have and I am extremely frightened of him and what he might do to me and those I love," she stated.
The incidents began on July 9, when Berry first spotted the intruder in her gated backyard.
Franco was arrested on July 11 and remains in custody. A hearing to determine whether the restraining order will be made permanent is set for August 1. (ANI)
