London, Sep 16 : Director Woody Allen thinks that Spanish superstars Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz will make `great' parents.

The Oscar-winners worked with Allen on 2008''s Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

Allen is happy the newlyweds are starting a family together and has congratulated the couple following the news of the actress'' pregnancy.

"I think it''s great. I''m crazy about both of them - Javier and Penelope. And I''m sure they''ll have a super baby, because their genes are award-winning," the Daily Express quoted Allen as saying.

"I think he''ll be great as a father, and I think she''ll be a great mother. She''s a lovely person," Allen added.

Bardem and Cruz tied the knot in a low-profile ceremony in the Bahamas in July (10). (ANI)
