London, July 21 : Hollywood actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, who has been single since she split from her beau, says she is open to adopting a child.

The "Ghost Whisperer" actress separated from her boyfriend Jamie Kennedy in March. She is confident about taking care of a child even without a man in her life, reports contactmusic.com.

Asked if she would adopt alone, she said: "I'm absolutely open to it!"

While the actress insists she is enjoying her single status, she says she prefers to have a boyfriend.

"I feel like as a person, I am better as a couple. But I am learning a lot about myself," she added.(IANS)
