Washington, Dec 21: Jessica Simpson has dismissed reports that she is stepping into Hollywood actress, Julia Roberts’ shoes.

Recent reports claimed that the singer/actress has signed to star in a remake of Roberts’ hit movie Pretty Woman.

An American tabloid said that Simpson is looking forward to reprise the role of a prostitute, played by Roberts, in the 1990 original.

It quoted a source saying, "This one's got 'hit' written all over it. Her father (and manager) Joe has been telling anyone who will listen that she's the next Julia. "

However Simpson's publicist has slammed all the reports in a statement to TheCelebrityTruth.com.

"There is no truth to this. Jessica is in Nashville,” Contactmusic quoted the publicist, as saying. (ANI)
