London, Dec 3 : Johnny Depp's Christmas song has got him into trouble with religious groups.
Depp had teamed up with band Babybird to record the song `Jesus Stag Night Club' and hoped to rival The X Factor for Christmas chart success.
The song about a boozing, stolen car-driving Jesus look-alike who gets his kicks at lap-dancing clubs, has enraged Christian groups.
"I'm sure he thinks he's being very funny but he's simply a disgrace," the Daily Star quoted Lee Douglas, spokesman for the religious pressure group The Christian Coalition, as saying.
"One day, Johnny Depp and his cronies will face the judgment of our Lord and they will burn in hell for this filth," he added.
While Douglas has called the song `blasphemy', the spokesman of the Focus on the Family campaign group said the song was `appalling'.
"We are sickened by Mr Depp's behaviour. Why did he need to record this song?" he said.
"It is a slap in the face to Christians all over the world," the spokesman added.
Depp is reportedly unconcerned by the controversy while Babybird's front man Stephen Jones said that the critics have `no sense of humour'. (ANI)
