Washington, April 17: Julie Andrews has revealed that she had such a huge crush on late movie star Richard Burton when they appeared together on Broadway that she considered having an extramarital affair with him.
The pair worked together on stage in a 1960 New York production of ‘Camelot,’ and Andrews reveals that a sexual chemistry between the two was obvious - even though they were both married.
"He was unbelievably attractive. He just oozed charisma. I am so glad he didn't make any kind of a pass at me for many, many months,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
“I was happily married and I hope I would've been a good girl, but I couldn't be sure. He was that attractive,” she added.
Andrews, however, revealed that when Burton eventually made a pass, she knocked him back.
"There came a day when Richard did, in his way, make a sort of pass. And I got angry that he did it,” she said.
"I have to admit that Mary Poppins let fly with an Anglo Saxon four-letter-word. I told him where to go and how to get there. That resulted in another two bad performances," she added. (ANI)
