Keira Knightley’s ‘Atonement’ gown named ‘Best Movie Costume of All Time’

Keira KnightleyLondon, Jan 1: Keira Knightley’s emerald green dress in ‘Atonement’ has been named the ‘Best Film Costume Of All Time.’

The silk gown landed the top spot in the poll conducted by Sky Movies and In Style magazine, pipping Marilyn Monroe's white dress from ‘The Seven Year Itch’ to the second position.

Audrey Hepburn's little black dress in ‘Breakfast At Tiffany's’ bagged the third place while Olivia Newton-John's tight leather trousers in ‘Grease’ came fourth.

Rounding off the top five was Kate Winslet's blue gown from ‘Titanic.’

"There's no doubt that Keira Knightley's dress in Atonement created a massive stir this year, so it will be interesting to see whether it attains this stand-along iconic status in years to come," the Daily Snack quoted Ian Lewis, director of Sky Movies, as saying.
