London, Mar 15: Nicole Kidman has asked George Clooney– a longtime friend of hers – to be godfather to her unborn baby, say reports.

After reconnecting with her Catholic roots, the Oscar-winning actress plans to have her new child baptized in the Catholic Church and thinks her co-star from 1997’s The Peacemaker is the ideal godfather for the baby.

"Nicole asked George to be her baby’s godfather, and he has agreed,” new! Magazine quoted a source, as saying.

This is the first biological child for Aussie-born Nicole and her husband Keith Urban.

Nicole has two adopted children from her marriage with Tom Cruise, which ended in 2001. (ANI)
