Kylie Minogue takes on MySpace with

London, Nov 4 : Aussie pop star Kylie Minogue has launched her own social networking website,

A source has revealed that the 39-year old singer was very proud of herself for being the first chart star to take on MySpace for creating a social networking brand.

"She's very proud of being the first singer to create a social networking brand,” News of the World quoted the source, as saying.

The source said that going the Internet way was a big move for Minogue and will make her an instant Internet entrepreneur.

 "This is a very big move for Kylie, as nothing like this has ever been tried before. It will make her an instant Internet entrepreneur—and shows the way the music industry is heading.

"It is a bold step for her to take. But it shows she is serious about becoming more than just a pop star and taking control of the business side of things around her,” the source said.

The source added that the ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Mind’ singer had loyal fans who would make her site a hit.

"Kylie's fans are very loyal to her, so it is hoped a large number of them will decide to join her network,” the source said.

The users of the site would be able to contact the star via her profile as well as read her blog, see sexy pictures of her, and would be able to watch an exclusive behind-the-scenes video of the singer.

The fans can also hear tunes not available elsewhere, and download Minogue’s hits.

The launch of the website is expected to coincide with the online release of the Minogue’s latest single, ‘2 Hearts’. (ANI)
