Sydney, Nov 25 : Australian bikini model, Lara Bingle has blasted the ‘ridiculous’ media for focusing on her increased weight.
Bingle, who has put on 6 kgs, in the latest issue of a magazine, insisted that she felt happy and healthy.
“It’s one thing to put on weight, but another to be on the front cover of a magazine calling you fat,” Sydney Morning Herald quoted her as telling Who magazine.
“And of course they use the most unflattering picture, which makes me look bigger than I actually am. It’s upsetting and creates a lot of pressure.
“I have put on weight. So I’m not going to lie and say I haven’t. But I’m really happy right now and I’m working and that’s what I love.
“I like having boobs and a bum: I don’t want to look like a bony boy with no hips.
“But the focus on my weight has been intense; it’s been blown out of proportion,” she said.
The former fiance of Australian Test and one day captain Michael Clarke said that she was tired of having paparazzi camping outside her home and waiting for her to emerge in ‘trackie dacs’.
“If I’m fat, how does that make a girl who is a size 12-14 feel, and that’s the size of an average Australian woman? It’s ridiculous,” she added. (ANI)
