London, Oct 22 : Pop diva Madonna wants her estranged husband Guy Ritchie not to move on with his plans to introduce their children to a traditional Christmas celebration, which is forbidden by her Kabbalah religion.
While Ritchie is keen on giving the kids —Lourdes, 12, Rocco, seven, and David, 2 — a first ever traditional Christmas, Madge wants the children to be with her.
“Christmas doesn’t exist in the Madonna household because of Kabbalah. Guy will be really looking forward to introducing the kids to Christmas for the first time,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.
Guy’s advocates are frantically trying to reach a compromise with the ‘4 Minute’ hitmaker, as after many years of abstaining the kids from Christmas celebration, he intends to see a fun filled festivity.
“He always liked Christmas but went along with it as it was what Madonna wanted and he did want to stay true to Kabbalah,” the source said.
“What he wants more than anything though is to actually be with the kids at that time of year and he just hopes Madonna can compromise,” the source added.
While Ritchie is hoping for a compromise, Madonna wants the kids to be with her on the Christmas Eve.
“Instead of family visiting them, the artist Tracey Emin came and they all ate steamed fish. It was dour and joyless to say the least,” the source revealed of the couple’s 2004 Christmas celebration. (ANI)
