London, April 7 - Actress Meg Ryan is set to don the director's hat for new movie "Into The Beautiful".

The film focuses on a reunion between old friends. Meg, however, has no plans to take on a role herself.

Producer Wendy Finerman and Meg are currently casting the project and hope to begin shooting in New York this September, reports contactmusic. com.

"I'm often drawn to pictures that make you laugh and cry. I think this is the perfect project for Meg to bring to life. She's poignant and funny and heartfelt," said Wendy. (IANS)
