London, Nov 19 : The mother of Hugh Grant's daughter was granted an injunction `prohibiting harassment' of her and her child after paparazzi made their life `unbearable'.

Although, Chinese actress Tinglan Hong was granted the High Court injunction last week, Mr Justice Tugendhat stated his reasons for doing so formally, in a written ruling on Friday.

Justice Tugendhat observed that although Mr Grant `is very well-known', Ms Hong `has never sought any publicity or been known to the public for any reason'.

"She cannot leave her home without being followed and there are constantly photographers waiting outside her home," Sky News quoted the judge as saying.

"She has had to cancel appointments, including ones for her child. She is frightened to drive with her child because the distraction makes it unsafe," he added.

Mr Justice Tugendhat said he felt that it was "necessary and proportionate to grant the injunction sought". (ANI)
