New York, Dec 5 : Amy Winehouse’s posthumous album ‘Lioness: Hidden Treasures’ presents the picture of a singer in full command, robust in tone and sure in phrasing.
The album is a collection of songs put together by Winehouse’s producer Salaam Remi less than three months after her death.
The songs, recorded between 2002 and 2009, are a mishmash of outtakes and covers, demos and home recordings. The CD includes some hits from her album ‘Back o Black’ including ‘Valerie’.
There’s also a one-take demo of ‘Wake Up Alone,’ which sounds quite full, plus a recycle of her frisky duet with Tony Bennett on ‘Body and Soul,’ which came out just three months ago on his disk.
The album, consisting of 12 songs, will release in December. (ANI)
