New Delhi, Dec 5 - Bollywood couple Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao have been blessed with a son, who was born through IVF to a surrogate mother at a private clinic in Mumbai Dec 1.
Aamir and Kiran confirmed the news, saying: "It gives us the greatest joy to share with you the good news of the birth of our baby boy. This baby is especially dear to us because he was born to us after a long wait and some difficulty."

Mumbai, Oct 22 - Actor Aamir Khan has denied any plans of making a sequel to his adult comedy "Delhi Belly".
"The film is nowhere in the scene. We haven't started planning or strategising anything for the sequel. Whatever news is out till now is baseless," Aamir told IANS.
A bold, youth-centric drama, "Delhi Belly" was directed by Abhinay Deo. It featured Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunal Roy Kapoor in the lead.
Mumbai, Oct 22 - After Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, it's Aamir Khan's turn to make his debut on the small screen. The actor will be seen in a yet-to-be titled show which he calls his "most ambitious project".
The production of the show is yet to start and it will go on air next year. It is being jointly produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Star India.

New Delhi, Feb 17 : Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao have another reason to celebrate as a German distributor has bought the rights of their critically acclaimed movie "Dhobi Ghat" to release it in theatres in Germany later this year.
The film has been produced by Aamir Khan and distributed by UTV Motion Pictures. The deal with Rapid Eye Movies includes theatrical distribution rights, home video rights and free TV rights of the movie for screening in Germany.
Mumbai, Feb 15 : Priyadarshan has worked with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. The prolific director is now set to work with the third Khan - Aamir - and it will be a film on AIDS.
"I met Aamir and narrated my idea. He loved it. I now need to complete the script," said Priyadarshan.
The film on AIDS will have no songs, no comedy and no commercial trappings at all and it is likely to be produced by Aamir himself.
Mumbai, Feb 2 : Superstar Aamir Khan Wednesday said that he was honoured to be part of the jury of the Berlin International Film Festival.
"I am looking forward to be in the jury. Berlin is a very prestigious film festival. It's an honour to be invited to be in the jury. I am looking forward to watch all films there," Aamir told reporters here.
Mumbai, Feb 2 : Aamir Khan is excited to play villain in "Dhoom 3". The superstar Wednesday said "Dhoom" was a great franchise to work in even though he initially didn't think he would fit in.
"I have recently signed 'Dhoom 3'. I liked the script very much. When I had watched 'Dhoom', I liked it a lot. I enjoyed the music and the whole attitude. It's a very fun film. I really liked it. I never thought I would fit in this kind of film," Aamir told reporters at a press meet here.
New Delhi, Jan 25 : Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan isn't one bit surprised with the extreme reactions that his latest project "Dhobi Ghat" has been inviting. While a lot of young crowd can't find a connect with the film, it is being critically acclaimed in film circles.
"I can see that the film has evoked extreme responses... as I had expected actually. Well, I had tried my best to say that this film is not for everyone," Aamir posted on his Facebook page Tuesday.
Mumbai, Jan 20 : Aamir Khan says he will do the needful for 95-year-old character artist A. K. Hangal who is languishing in penury.
"Certainly we need to do something. In the past also I had been with him. I will immediately find out how he is doing and do the needful," Aamir told reporters at a press conference at the Sun and Sand hotel here Thursday.
Aamir has worked with Hangal in "Laagan: Once Upon A Time in India".
Mumbai, Jan 20 : Bollywood actor Aamir Khan Thursday said he is disappointed at "Peepli Live" failing to get selected at the Oscars but is happy that his film represented India.
"I came to know that 'Peepli Live' is out of Oscars. I am of course sad about it. But, I am happy that we represented India and we were one among the world's best 60 films which were sent to Oscars. We are disappointed and sad," Aamir told reporters at a press conference at the Sun and Sand hotel here.

Mumbai, Jan 18 : It is just 95-minute long, and therefore Aamir Khan's forthcoming film "Dhobi Ghat" will be screened across the country without any interval.
Aamir personally visited the owners and managers of the multiplex chains. They've apparently now given it to him in writing that there would be no interval in the screenings of the movie.
New Delhi, Jan 17 : Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist is back. After taking the audiences by storm with the blockbuster "3 Idiots", Aamir Khan is returning to the screen with wife Kiran Rao's debut directorial venture "Dhobi Ghat". The film is releasing Friday and expectations are riding high.
This will be Aamir's first release after more than a year.
Mumbai, Jan 3 : Newcomer Monica Dogra, who is making her debut with "Dhobi Ghat", says though her co-star Aamir Khan is a very down to earth person, she was intimidated by his presence on the sets the movie.
"I was very nervous when I met Aamir. But I knew that I have to get over this quickly because I wanted to do a good job. It was intimidating to be around Aamir but he is so down to earth that after a while it becomes fine," Monica, who plays Shai in "Dhobi Ghat", told reporters here.
